Temple Grafton

Temple Grafton (216 all out in 44.1 6-ball overs)
lost to
Fathers And Sons (219/9 in 47 6-ball overs)
by 1 wicket.

Report by Hal Dare:

With beautiful back drop of the borage fields, the FAS bowled. Some strong bowling from Tom Reynolds Devon (3/16 off 5) put early pressure on Temple Grafton. This pressure continued with tight bowling in the middle over from David Harrop (1/29 off 9) and James Wyatt (0/46 off 12). This left Temple Grafton 216 all out.

FAS didn't have the strongest of starts to their chase being left at 32/3. However, fabulous batting from James Wyatt (47) and James Houlder rescued the situation and steadied the ship. Despite losing batting partners James Houlder's unbeaten 106 took us to a win, taking victory with only 1 wicket in hand.

Fathers And Sons vs. Fladbury

Fladbury

Fathers And Sprogs (222/5 in 40 overs)
defeated
Fladbury (64 all out in 16.4 overs)
by 158 runs.

Report by Harry Houlder:

FAS batted first on a gloriously hot day at Fladbury. Dave Kittow opened the batting though did not stay long, returning to the pavilion before most of the team had started to watch the game. However, this did not deter the our batting. A barrage of boundaries from Fraser Houlder (16 off 17 balls) complemented secure batting from Rufus Dennis. After Fraser departed, a 110 run stand from Rufus Dennis (66 off 75 balls) and virgin tourist Chris Badger (71 off 74 balls) set FAS up with a surely defendable 222/5.

A sharp spell upfront from another virgin tourist Roy Kean (3/12 off 5), removed the Fladbury top order before kamikaze batting handed wickets to most people who bowled. This left Fladbury 64 all out and we won by 158 runs, our second biggest runs victory ever (and the eighth time we've beaten Fladbury by 100+ runs).
